Hey Guys!

I just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten you! I've been extremely busy with work and while I think I'm jinxing it by saying, I should be done with it all by the end of next week! Wooh!

So what have I done so far? I've been making some decks here and there. I've found some new hosting at needtakehave.com. Additionally I think I'm going to hope aboard the myTCG bandwagon! My goal is to have it set up along with a new layout before re-opening. After this work stuff is resolved I will be working solely on that! Woo! I'm pretty positive it's gonna be awesome.

Does anyone have any myTCG experience? I'm only asking in case I have some questions configuring things. I'd be awesome to have someone to bug with my inane little "OMG THIS WON'T WORK AND IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS" moments. :p

That's all for now. This is just a check in. We're still on hiatus - but we'll be back! : )

Hiatus

After the feedback I've received, I've decided to go ahead with a hiatus. I'm really pleased that you all seem fine with the hiatus idea. I really want to keep this tcg going. A little time off will help things continue.

While there will be a hiatus for at least a month, I definitely want you to remain as active as you can. What does this mean? Here's what's still happening:

- New Members are Still Welcome
- Weekly Automatic Games STILL PLAY : ) (somethings better than nothing, right?)
- Forums will still be open, but with the new forums!
- I am going to still make decks when I can, and post them. Of course everyone will still get freebies from those.

On the nav bar I'm adding "new forums" above what is now "old forums". I am keeping them both up so I can make sure everyone gets everything they need moved over and finalize trades, etc. I will get rid of the old forums before re-opening, however.

That being said, Liz is a new member from about two weeks ago that I terribly didn't welcome. WELCOME LIZ! Here, have a member card!

Also, I am aware that there are some level up emails chillin' in the inbox. I'll get to 'em! I will... try anyway : ) To do it soon! Okay that's all.

A Question

Due to some work and medical problems, I feel as if I need to either close or put Open Book on hiatus. This is my only day off in a week and I work another week solid. On top of it, after working (and some of these days I have to do much traveling for work stuff) I have some medical things to take care of and some upcoming procedures.

All in all I'm very worn out and simply do not have the time or energy to do updates/make cards at this time. Which really sucks because I was finally able to get a forum I am satisfied with and customized and everything. Meh.

ANYWAY - The question is to you. Do you want Open Book to stay around? If you do, I will go on hiatus... probably for a month at least. Maybe two, depending on what some of the doctors (and my work) says. If you aren't willing to wait around, I totally understand! But I do not want to give this up. I want to keep going. I just can't give you the energy you deserve.

Decided to just go ahead and try backing up and reinstalling our forums in hopes that it will quit with the annoying problems. I'm going to use the default theme for right now so expect some unattractive forums when it's back up again.

I will post back here again when the forums are up and running.

Okay - forums are updated. It looks horrible but I want to want to change the theme until I am certain the forums are stable. I will probably keep it fug for a week, two at most. PLEASE respond to this post, or the help thread in the forums, and let me know if you run into that same error again! As soon as all looks good I will do another back up and attempt to make our forums tolerable again. ; )

While responding to a bookshop order I found the exact same error come up. Ugh. Well I don't have the time to worry about it right now, but I will be shopping around for forum alternatives. Please deal with the ugly layout and the issues for the moment. If you have any recommendations or suggestions, they will be VERY welcome.

Hey Everyone! I want to apologize for the delayed update on games. There are no cards this update, because I am made of fail. I'm not going to lie though - what I was doing was much funner than making cards. ; ) If you've never been to The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State then I recommend you do so. You will completely understand <3 Anyway, enough excuses - on to the goodies!
